Disable remote session timeout on Win Server

 How to disable remote session timeout on Win Server


 
If you get an Error " The remote session ended because the total logon time was reached. the limit is set by the server administrator or by network policies" when you connect a server using remote desktop after some time. you can easily resolve the issue using following steps.

1. Press windows key + R for Run.

2. When run open type gpedit.msc and press Enter for open local group policy editor.

3. When group policy editor open navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host > Session Time Limits.


4. Double click on Set time limit for active but idle Remote Desktop Services sessions for open policy.
 

5.  When  Set time limit for active but idle Remote Desktop Services sessions click on not configure.


6. Click on Apply and OK. 

7. Restart the computer.
