How to Make a Directory on Your Hard Drive

How to Make a Directory on Your Hard Drive:

Step 1

Click on "Start", then click “This PC or Computer”. Windows Explorer opens and shows your PC's hard drives in its center panel. If you just have one hard drive, you will see it there. Windows Explorer also shows external devices such as flash drives that you have connected to your PC.

Step 2

Double-click the hard drive or device to which you’d prefer to include a directory. The hard drive or device expands to reveal its documents and directory.

Step 3

Click the folder that you might want to contain a new directory and then right-click “New" > "Folder”. Windows Explorer makes a new directory and shows a blue text box next to the directory.

Step 4

Type any name for the directory in that text box and press “Enter.”
