The Internet Protocol address is a numerical label assigned to each device that connected to a computer network it's using the Internet Protocol for communication. the IP address main functions are host or network interface identification and location addressing. In your network a DHCP server by default, connected devices use dynamic IP addresses assigned by the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server. if you want to set the static IP address on your computer use the following steps.

1. Click on Windows key + R for Run


2. When Run screen appears type ncpa.cpl and press enter


3. Right-click on network adapter and select properties.


4. When Ethernet Properties open select Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IP4) and click on Properties 


5. When Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/Ipv4) Properties click on Use the following IP Address.



6. Now set the IP address, Subnet Mask, and Default gateway. Under the “Use the following DNS server addresses" "set Preferred DNS server" and "Alternet DNS server". if you have a DNS server. you can also set Google DNS for the internet. and click on OK
