How to enable system restore in windows 10


System Restore is a feature in windows operating system  that allows you to undo your system changes that may be causing problems, in this post we show you how to use it on Windows 10.

On Windows 10, System Restore is a windows operating system feature that create a snapshot of your computer and save its working state as a "restore point" in your computer. In case of you do some changes on your computer and problem after installing an update, driver, app, and after modifying system settings incorrectly using the Registry, in that case you can use a restore point to revert your device settings to an earlier point and fix the problem without losing your data.


Enable System Restore on Windows 10


1. Right click on MY computer and select properties. If you don't have permission to open system properties you can click on start and search Create a restore point  and click on create a restore point.

2. Click on System Protection.

3. When system properties open select System protection Tab.

4. On the Protection Settings section, select the drive which drive on OS installed "System" drive, and click the Configure button.



5. Select Turn on system protection option.

On Windows 10 system automatically manage the space, but under the "Disk Space Usage" section, you can also reserve the space for System Restore.


6. Click on Apply and OK. 

Once you complete these steps, Windows 10 operating system will create a restore point automatically, when some changes done on computer and applying a new update its automatically done.

Create System Restore point on Windows 10

1. Right click on MY computer and select properties.

2. Click on System Protection.

3. When system properties open select System protection Tab.

4. On the Protection Settings section, click on Create. 



5. Type a name for the restore point and click on Create.


6. After click on create, its create system restore point.

7. Click on Apply and OK.

After completing these steps, you have a options to restore changes if something goes wrong while installing Application, drivers and editing the Registry.

System Restore on Windows 10


If you got application drivers and registry related issues after making system changes, and if you have don't time to identified the issue steps by step. you can restore the changes using a previously created restore point. 

1. Right click on MY computer and select properties. If you don't have permission to open system properties you can click on start and search Create a restore point  and click on create a restore point.

2. Click on System Protection.

3. When system properties open select System protection Tab.

4. Click on System Restore.


5. When system restore open click on Next.


6. Select the restore point that you want to restore on your computer. if you want to know affected program click on scan for affected program.


7. Select the restore point that you want to restore on your computer and click on Next.


8. Click on Finish.


One System Restore will completed. your computer to the previous working state.
