 How to Turn On or Off User Account Control in Windows 10




User Account Control (UAC) is a feature that inbuild in windows operating systems. if you want to change on your computer and install a software in that case a dialog box appears. The dialog will ask “Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?" if you need to disable the User Account Control (UAC) in windows use the following steps.

1. Click on start and type UAC.

2. Click on change User Account Control settings.

3. You get a dialog box "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?" click on Yes.

4.  When User Account Control open screen appears, where you can choose any of the following selections.

Always notify me when – App try to install software or make changes to my computer and when I make changes to Windows settings.



Notify me only when programs try to make changes to my computer (Default) – Don’t notify me when I make changes to Windows settings.



Notify me only when programs try to make changes to my computer (do not dim my desktop) – Don’t notify me when I make changes to Windows settings.



Never notify me when – Programs try to install software or make changes to my computer and when I make changes to Windows settings.

5. Select form here which type of User Account Control (UAC) configure and click on OK.



Disable User Account Control (UAC) from Msconfig.


1. Press Windows key + R for Run.

2. When Run Open type "msconfig" and press enter.

3. When system Configuration open click on Tools tab.

4. Select "change UAC Settings" and click on Lunch.



5. Select form here which type of User Account Control (UAC) configure and click on OK.
