File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a network protocol that used to exchange the data files over a TCP/IP based network. FTP servers listen on port number 21 for incoming connections from clients.
1. Click on windows key and open server manager.
2. Click on Add roles and features.
3. check box of Role-based or features- based installation.
4. Open Web server (IIS) and check the box of FTP Server and click on Next.
5. Click on Next.
6. Check the box Restart the destination server automatically if required and click on yes.
7. Click on Install.
8. Now installation started.
9. Now installation completed click on Close.
10. Open server manager, click on tools and open Internet Information Services (IIS) server.
11. Now open Internet Information Services (IIS) manager.
12. Right-click on sites and click on Add FTP Site.
13. Type here FTP server site name and path of FTP server Folder where you want to store data of FTP and click on Next.
14. Bind Ip address with port number and check the box of Start FTP site automatically and click on Next.
15. I have created the FTP for testing so I do anonymous authentication. if you want to change authentication so do from here.
Now open file explorer and type FTP://192.168.0.6
