How to install ubuntu 20.04 LTS Step by Step

The ubuntu desktop is a open source operating system. you can easily download and install Ubuntu using the following steps.

Download Ubuntu 20.04LTS

System Requirements for ubuntu

2 GHz dual core processor.

25 GB of hard-drive free storage space, or 5 GB for a minimal installation.

4 GB RAM (system memory).

VGA capable of 1024x768 screen resolution.

Either a CD/DVD drive or a USB port for the installer media.

Install Ubuntu desktop

1. Set first boot device DVD drive in bios.

2. Put the Ubuntu DVD into your optical/DVD drive and Restart your computer.

3. After restart the computer you get install windows on computer. select Install Ubuntu.

4. Again Select option Install Ubuntu.

5. Select keyboard layout from here and click on continue.

6. After click on continue There are two options are ‘Normal installation’ and ‘Minimal installation’. The first is the equivalent to the old default bundle of utilities, applications, games and media players. The second takes considerably less storage space and allows you to install only what you need. you can also select "download updates while installing Ubuntu. if you require install third-party software for graphics and Wi-Fi hardware and additional media formats and click on continue.

7. Check the box Erase disk and install Ubuntu. this option auto create require partition and you need to create manually click on Advanced features and click on install now.

8. A screen will appear with an overview of the storage options you have chosen. Click on Continue to fix those changes in place and start the installation process.

9. Select your location and click on continue.

10. On who are you screen type your name, your computer name, pick a user name, choose a password and confirm your password. if you want to auto login on your computer check the "Log in automatically" and if you want to require your password for login choose "require my password to log in" and click on continue.
